British Ambassador meets with Al-Sarraj

TRIPOLI – The United Kingdom’s ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, met on Monday with chairman of the Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.

According to a statement by GNA’s Media Office, “the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the political situation in Libya and issues of cooperation between the two friendly countries; especially what had been previously agreed upon regarding the contribution of British companies in the fields of service and investment in human development.”

Baker also reiterated his country’s commitment to support the Tripoli-based government And its support for the democratic process in accordance with the plan of the United Nations envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé.
