France responds to Marshal Haftar’s request granting medical visa for Major General al-Zahawi

BENGHAZI – The General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, had contacted the French Ambassador to Libya to grant an urgent visa to the commander of the 21st Battalion of LNA, Major General Jamal Al Zahawi, LNA Military Information Division announced on Tuesday.

The French authorities immediately responded to the request of the General Commander, in order to complete General Al-Zahawi’s treatment in France, after having suffered a stroke for about six months, the Division confirmed.

Al-Zahawi family said they had applied more than once for a visa from a European country to complete treatment, but the applications were rejected.
