Salamé in Algeria to discuss impact of the Libyan situation on the Sahel

ALGIERS – The Algerian National Assembly’s administration has announced that United Nations special envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé, will attend a conference in Algiers next Thursday to discuss the situation in Libya and its impact on the security situation in the Sahel region, Al-Hayat newspaper reported.

According to Al-Hayat, Salamé will meet in Algeria with the country’s Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, and he will “inform the Algerian government about the arrangements for the Libyan National Conference to be held in January.”
