Ukraine’s Ambassador meets with Al-Sarraj and Al-Mishri

TRIPOLI – Ukraine’s ambassador to Libya, Mykola Nahorny, met on Tuesday with chairman of the Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, at the Council headquarters in Tripoli.

According to a statement by GNA’s Media Office, Nahorny and Al-Sarraj discussed “developments of the political situation in Libya, and improving bilateral relations between the two friendly countries through the activation of the Ukrainian-Libyan joint committee.”

Nahorny also met with chairman of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, in Tripoli where, according to the Council’s Media Office, the Ukrainian ambassador stressed his country’s support for Libya to be “a unified and sovereign state on all its territory, warning of the political, constitutional and legislative vacuum that will lead to the instability of Libya.”
