HoR spokesman: Libyan people rely on Russia’s role in ending the crisis

MOSCOW – Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Belaheq, said on Friday that members of the House of Representatives, during the meeting with members of the Committee on International Relations in the Russian Duma, discussed the depth of the relationship between the two countries.

In a statement to Sputnik, Belaheq said the House of Representatives and the Libyan people rely on the role of Russia in ending the current crisis in Libya.

He added that Libyan representatives visiting Moscow demanded that the Russian position be “more interactive with the Libyan crisis, and that the relations between the two countries should be strengthened in all political, security, military and economic fields.” They stressed the need for “supporting the legitimate authority represented by the House and supporting the military establishment in combating terrorism.”

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, arrived on Friday in Moscow with his accompanying delegation for an official visit.
