GNA Minster of Finance resigns

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The Minister of Finance of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Faraj Bumatari, submitted a written resignation to the Head of GNA.

He attributed the resignation to the lack of the Ministry’s authority on several issues, especially when making decisions directly affect the financial policy, in addition to the absence of team spirit among the institutions of the state, accusing the Central Bank of Libya – Tripoli (CBL) of working against the Ministry by creating obstacles and jumping on the terms of reference of executive tools.

Bumatari also attributed the resignation to the lack of a professional environment to prepare a strong and serious fiscal policy in the absence of a clear monetary policy of the state.
