TUNIS – Deputy Heath Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Haitham, agreed on Wednesday with Tunisian Health Minister Abdel Raouf El-Sherif to establish working teams between the two ministries to pay debts owed by Libya in Tunisia in the coming days.

According to the Tripoli-based Ministry, during his visit to Tunisia, Haitham reviewed the results of the examination and audit committees of the debts owed by Libya in exchange for the treatment of Libyan patients.

He also discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries on health, and how to benefit from the Tunisian experience in the field of control and distribution of medicines, and the organization of the private health sector.

At the beginning of December, GNA’s Health Ministry paid a large part of the debts owed by Libya in Jordan.
