A Benghazi shelter receives 83 migrants

BENGHAZI – The Qanfouda Shelter Center of Benghazi’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration received on Sunday 83 migrants whom were arrested by the city’s General Directorate.

Spokesman of Benghazi’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration, Amjad al-Worfali said in a press statement that the Qanfouda Shelter Center received 83 migrants from Egypt and Chad to complete health procedures and identification procedures.

Al-Worfali said that those who have their legal procedures completed will be released, but those who do not, will be deported to their countries.

He added that the move came in accordance with the directives of the Interior Minister of the interim government, Ibrahim Boshanaf, and the instructions of head of Benghazi’s security department, Colonel Adel Abdul Aziz.

Al-Worfali pointed out that Qanfouda’s Shelter Center now has a number of 183 migrants of different nationalities and of both sexes.
