LYD rises against foreign currency

TRIPOLI – The value of the Libyan Dinar (LYD) today rose against foreign currencies to record 4.27 dinars to the dollar, 4.84 dinars to the euro, while the Turkish lira reached 0.81, and the Tunisian dinar reached 1.38.

On Monday, the deputy head of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Ahmed Maitiq, announced that the government will carry out a series of reform measures during 2019; the most important of which is to continue vigorously with the economic reforms program, reducing the US dollar exchange rate and the prices of basic commodities.
