The Address | Benghazi – Libya
ALGIERS – Algeria’s Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, expressed his support for the recent meeting of the security directors of Benghazi and Tripoli.
The recent measures taken by Libyans for security coordination are a positive step for the unification of Libyan institutions. We encourage them to persevere on this path of dialogue, the only way to allow return of stability in #Libya

In a tweet on Wednesday, Messahel hailed the meeting as “positive step for the unification of Libyan institutions,” before adding, “we encourage them to persevere on this path of dialogue, the only way to allow return of stability in Libya.”
Last week, the security directors of Benghazi and Tripoli held a meeting in Benghazi based on an initiative by Interior Minister of Interim Government, Ibrahim Bushnaf, and Interior Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha to unify efforts to impose security on all of Libya’s soil.
