In a statement via Twitter, LCFP confirmed that the security forces had raised their weapons against journalists, but did not indicate whether journalists were beaten or not.
LCFP called upon GNA’s Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha, to take his responsibility towards ensuring journalists safety.
LCFP said its Monitoring Unit has recorded more than 20 attacks by employees of the Ministry of the Interior in 2018.
