Audit Bureau: There is corruption in public companies and banks and we have remarks on GNA

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The head of the Tripoli-based Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, confirmed that the problem that emerged regarding public companies during 2015 and 2016 is a significant deviation in the public sector companies and banks, the spread of corruption and weak management and the weakness of the system on which these companies are based.

This needs to be addressed, and fortunately, at this point, there is a response from the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), he said.

“GNA listened to the recommendations of the Audit Bureau, adding that the Audit Bureau had remarks on GNA and letters of directing and alerting it for some of the existing deviations, but on the level of economic reforms, it needs support and everyone should participate in supporting the economic reform program,” Shakshak added.
