The Address | Benghazi – Libya
MALTA – Head of the Tripoli-based Government of National Government (GNA), Fayez al-Serraj, will have talks in Valletta with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat on Wednesday morning, the Maltese government has announced.
It will be the first meeting between the two leaders since they met for a conference on Libya hosted by the Italian government in Palermo in November.
The Maltese government did not say what will be discussed, but the unstable situation in Libya and migration are expected to top the agenda, according to Times of Malta.
Al-Sarraj’s GNA government has struggled to assert its authority in the country and even in Tripoli where it is based, and which is controlled by Militias.
