Tunisia hosts Libyan meeting under international auspices to discuss economic reforms

GAMMARTH – The Mövenpick Hotel in Gammarth, Tunisia is witnessing the Libyan Economic Meeting, which brings together Libyan officials under international auspices to discuss economic reforms and financial arrangements.

According to the Communications and Information Department of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), the meeting witnessed the attendance of a number of officials, including the Deputy Head of GNA, Ahmed Maitiq, the Head of the State Council, Khalid Al-Mishri, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), the head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, the Plenipotentiary of Economy of GNA, Ali al-Issawi, the Plenipotentiary of Finance, Faraj Boumatari, and the Planning Minister, Tahir al-Jahimi.

The meeting is held under the auspices of the international presence of delegates from the World Bank and a number of ambassadors of the major countries. The meeting will be devoted to discussing the program of economic reforms and financial arrangements for 2018 and 2019.
