TOBRUK – Libya’s House of Representatives is in the process of taking several measures towards Turkey in the coming period.

Adviser to the Speaker of the House, Fathi al-Marimi, told Sputnik news agency that the House’s foreign committee and national defense committee will take some steps towards Turkey, by holding a session in parliament that is supposed to be arranged in the coming days.

Al-Marimi to block any Libyan steps towards stability and spread chaos through deployment of weapons.

Last Monday, Misurata’s customs department seized weapons inside a container coming from Turkey in the city’s port. Three weeks earlier, customs members of the port of Khoms seized a ship coming from Turkey loaded with weapons and ammunition.

The Libyan National Army (LNA) has called on the United Nations Security Council to investigate Turkey’s arms shipment as it constitutes a violation of the international law.
