LNA takes effective measures to secure the south

BENGHAZI – The Libyan National Army (LNA) has taken several security measures on Saturday to secure the southern border and confront armed Chadian militias and terrorist elements affiliated with ISIS and the so-called Benghazi Defense Brigade.

The security measures came at the orders of Khalifa Haftar, LNA’s General Commander to stabilize the country’s southern borders which became a hot bed for criminal and terrorist militias.

The measures included the dispatch of the 166 infantry battalion and Tarek Ben Ziyad battalion to the southern territory of the country as part of a new security mission.

These forces began to take effective positions, with 100 vehicles being deployed to monitor the border between Chad and Libya.

LNA’s forces began to action immediately as the Air Force bombed a vehicle of Chadian militias which attempted to enter the Libyan border.
