Seventh Brigade holds UNSMIL responsible for violating the truce in Tripoli

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The 7th Infantry Brigade said in a statement that although it had committed itself to the cease-fire agreement signed in October last year in Al-Zawia, which was approved by the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) and sponsored by the UN Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), it was surprised by the breach of the truce, as stated.

The Brigade held UNSMIL, which sponsored the agreement, responsible of the actions of the aggressor militias, which are holed up in the capital and the militias based in the region of Wirshiffana, according to the statement.

The Seventh Brigade called on all residents of the areas of Sabiaa, Souk Sabt, Qasr Ben Ghashir, Khallet Al Furjan and surrounding areas to cooperate with the Brigade’s forces and contribute to securing their areas and taking precaution as the area considered a military operations area.
