Reopening Military Prosecution in Derna after a halt for years

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

DERNA – The city of Derna witnessed the reopening of the Military Prosecution after it stopped for almost seven years, in the presence of a number of military and legal figures.

The families of martyrs of the judiciary who were assassinated by terrorists in the city of Derna were honored.

It is worth mentioning that the city of Derna had seen the control of terrorist groups since 2011, which disrupted all the security services in addition to the courts and the judiciary.

The courts in the city have returned to work since the liberation of the city by the Libyan National Army (LNA) and the clearance of terrorists, in addition to the return of elements of the Ministry of the Interior with all its departments to work after several years.

It is noteworthy that the terrorist groups in the city of Derna had assassinated a number of counsels of the judiciary, notably the former Libyan Attorney General, the Supreme Court Counselor Abdul Aziz al-Hasadi, Judge Najib Huwaidi, Counsel Yousef Karimi, Counsel Faraj Katch, and lawyer Mohammed al-Na’as.
