SABHA – Al-Karama Operations Room of the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced the killing of al-Qaeda terrorist leader Adel Ahmad al-Abdali, known as Abu al-Zubair al-Libi, during a raid on a terrorist camp in Hijara neighborhood in Sabha.

In a statement by the Spokesman of LNA, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Al-Mesmari, the Room described Abu al-Zubair as a very dangerous terrorist.

Abu al-Zubair previously joined al-Qaeda in Syria. He had been deported to Libya in 2004 and was imprisoned in Abu Salim prison in Tripoli, and after 2011, he became an active element, especially in the recruitment and transfer of terrorists between Syria and Libya, It explained.

His relationship extends to al-Nusra Front in Syria and is linked to the terrorist Abdel Moneim Hasnawi, known as AbuTalha, who was killed in a special operation conducted by LNA forces last week, the Operations Room said.
