British economic consultant praises the situation in Benghazi, calls for investors to return

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – British economic consultant, Jon Hancock, has praised the situation in Benghazi which he visited more than a week ago, assuring investors with stalled projects to return to the city.

Hancock wrote about his visit to Benghazi via a post on LinkedIn, stating that “anybody with stalled projects don’t be worried about putting your toe back in the water, things are definitely looking up,”

In a separate post, Hancock also called on investors to “re-look at the country, re-engage with the people, and evaluate the possibilities.”

The security situation in Benghazi has been recovering ever since the Libyan National Army (LNA) liberated the city from terrorist and criminal militias.

In October, the city hosted the Benghazi International Oil and Gas Forum, which was hosted by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) with the participation of many foreign oil companies.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNMSIL) is currently preparing to inaugurate its new office in Benghazi.
