Al-Mishri will travel to the U.S. for a think tank conference

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

WASHINGTON – Chairman of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, is scheduled to attend on February 6th a conference hosted by the Transatlantic Leadership Network, a Washington-based think tank.

The conference is titled ‘Mediterranean Basin: Opportunities and Obstacles’, in which Al-Mishri is expected to discuss the developments in Libya and its future.

He will be moderated by Sasha Toperich, the American senior Vice President of the Transatlantic Leadership Network. Toperich was also among a group of American observers whom monitored the Egyptian presidential elections last year.

It’s noteworthy that Al-Mishri abruptly announced his “withdrawal” from the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood five days ago without providing a specific reason for his decision.
