TRIPOLI – Officials from Libya and France discussed the upcoming Libyan UN-sponsored national conference on Wednesday.
Deputy Head of the High Council of State, Fawzi Al-Agab, met with counselor in charge of the Libyan affairs of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Camby Gorgon, in Tripoli.
According to a statement by the Council, the two officials discussed the latest political, economy and security developments in Libya, as well as the preparations for the upcoming conference.
The conference is part of an action plan proposed by the UN Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé, with the aim of gathering Libyan political parties in order to end the political division in the country.
