New Italian ambassador arrives in Tripoli

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – The Italian embassy in Libya announced the arrival of the new Italian ambassador, Giuseppe Polcino, to Tripoli on Friday to take over his diplomatic duties, replacing former ambassador Giuseppe Peroni.

On Thursday, Peroni ended his mission as Rome’s ambassador to Libya, where he will head his country’s diplomatic mission in Iran.

Italy re-appointed Giuseppe Polcino as its ambassador to Libya in December last year after he had taken over the same duty from September 2011 to February 2015.
