The Address | Benghazi – Libya
SABHA – The Mahamid Tribe Council expressed its pride and respect for the military operation of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in south-west Libya, stressing that it restored hope for the liberation of the south.
“What has been happening in Libya over the past eight years has led the world’s criminals to come to it for murder, pillage and looting with the help of leaders of kidnappings, smuggling and murder,” the Council said in a statement.
“Libya has become a refuge for African movements: Chadian, Sudanese and Nigerian; under the pretext of opposition, supported by some Arabs, Africans and Libyans for the sake of their personal interests, making the South an unbearable hell to live in, the statement added.
“But thank God, the sacrifice of LNA and the support of young tribesmen, hope to liberate the south has come true.
The Council extended its congratulations to the people of the South on this liberation and expressed its hope that peace, security and stability will prevail throughout Libya.
LNA led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar has launched a military operation in southern Libya to prevent illegal immigration, human trafficking, and organized crime run by militias and mercenaries.
