TRIPOLI – The Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) issued a statement on Saturday denouncing the warning raid conducted by the Air Force of the Libyan National Army (LNA).
Earlier today, the Air Force conducted a warning raid on a plane that was preparing to land in El-Feel oilfield in Murzuq Basin, southwest of Libya.
GNA said the plane was carrying wounded people whom were about to be transported to Tripoli. GNA also threatened to report the incident to the United Nations Security Council.
The Libyan National Army declared the southern region as a no-fly zone two days ago. The army announced via the Air Force Operations Room that landing and taking off from the airports and airfields of the southern region of the country is prohibited unless approved by the Air Force Operations Room.
