DERNA – Residents of the city of Derna took to the streets last night to celebrate the end of military operations and the city’s liberation.
An eye witness video obtained by The Address shows Derna’s residents driving in their cars and honking horns as symbol of celebrations.
Derna’s Security Directorate announced on Saturday evening the end of the military operations in the city and its liberation from terrorist groups. This comes after the Libyan National Army (LNA) launched earlier this month a large attack on the remnants of the so-called Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna in its the last strongholds of the old city.
