DERNA – On Sunday, the Libyan National Army managed to rescue an Egyptian woman and her two daughters from a building inside the old city center of Derna, where the terrorists were holed up.

According to sources, all the family members were taken to the hospital to check on their health.

A visual clip showed the process of removing the woman and her two daughters from the center of a building within the Old City.

The armed forces concluded the military operations in the city of Derna after the elimination of the pockets of terrorists inside the old city but they still surround a number of extremist elements there, in addition to the number of wounded inside two houses in the region, according to The Address sources.

The sources said that the units of the armed forces have taken another Egyptian child, who was injured and received treatment at the Hareesh hospital.

They added that the father of the child is named “Mosab” from Egypt, and he was one of the extremist elements, who was killed during clashes with the armed forces in the center of the old city.

The Libyan National Army launched a military operation last year against extremist groups in the city of Derna, all operating under the Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna.
