The Address | Benghazi – Libya
BENGHAZI – Brigade 106 of the Libyan National Army (LNA) sent a military convoy as part of the reinforcement of LNA forces in the South-west to participate in LNA operations in the region.
Earlier this year, LNA launched a military operation to cleanse the South-west of extremist groups, criminal gangs and Chadian rebel opposition.
The reinforcements, launched from Benghazi, were four-wheel-drive vehicles loaded with guns, machine guns and trucks loaded with ammunition and weapons, as well as armored personnel carriers.
Since the launch of the operation, LNA forces have succeeded in achieving significant gains, where they have managed to gain control of Sabha and the surrounding areas.
On Monday, it also received and secured the Sharara oilfield and all government institutions after receiving them from the Tuareg Supreme Council peacefully.
LNA forces were able to pressure the Chadian rebel opposition and forced them to flee outside the Libyan border towards Chad, where their forces were subjected to an aerial bombardment in northern Chad by French fighters in cooperation with the government in N’Djamena.
