GNA Interior Minister: LNA is eradicating organized crime in the south

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

WASHINGTON – Interior Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha, said the operations of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in the south are “nationally acceptable”  to rid the region of organized crime, stop the smuggling of human beings and fuel, and fight against the terrorists of Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

In an interview with Al-Hurra television on Friday, Bashagha pointed out the Libyan National Army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, is fulfilling its national duty in the south. He hoped for a cooperation with the Presidential Council regarding the operations.

Bashagha affirmed that Libya’s political instability will lead to instability in security, which is costly to neighboring countries and the Mediterranean countries.
