The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salamé, reiterated his support for the operations launched by the Libyan National Army (LNA) to free the south from organized crime and terrorist groups.
Salamé, in an interview with Al-Hadath channel yesterday, said that he noticed a great improvement between the situation in the south and before the military operations there. He pointed out that the armed forces succeeded in eliminating the terrorist groups and organized crime there, as well as combating human trafficking through illegal migration.
The UN envoy said that the fight against terrorism is a local and international responsibility, pointing out that he has not criticized any operation against terrorism anywhere in the world.
