FMs of Libya’s neighboring countries sign executive regulations to secure borders

NIAMEY – Foreign Ministers of Libya’s neighboring countries held the fourth ministerial meeting yesterday to discuss border security.

Interlocutors discussed creating a joint operations center to secure the common border between Libya, Chad, Niger and Sudan, with the aim of combating terrorism, transnational crime and human smuggling.

The executive regulations of the joint operations center, which was stipulated in the Protocol signed in N’Djamena last May, have been signed pending the signature of the Chadian side on this list as the center is located in Chad.
