The Address | Benghazi – Libya
SHARM EL SHEIKH – Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, met on Sunday with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, in the margins of the first Arab League-European Union summit.
According to spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency, El-Sisi and Tusk discussed several international and regional issues including the situation in Libya. Both leaders stressed on the need to continue work on reaching political settlements, so as to preserve the national institutions in Libya and other countries.
El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s readiness to engage with the European Union in the implementation of development projects to strengthen the capacities of African countries, especially those exporting illegal migration.
