The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TUNIS – Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khemaies Jhinaoui, met on Saturday with Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salamé, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.
According to a statement by Tunisia’s Foreign Ministry, both diplomats discussed UNSMIL’s recent efforts to bring together Libya’s rival parties. They also discussed the upcoming national conference and future elections.
Jhinaoui and Salamé also discussed a meeting of the foreign ministers of Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt, which will be held in Cairo next Tuesday. This meeting comes as part of Tunisia’s initiative aimed at finding a comprehensive consensus solution to the Libyan crisis that respects the will of the Libyan people.
