The Address | Benghazi – Libya
CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry affirmed on Wednesday that his country will continue to fight terrorism with its ‘Arab brothers’ until they eliminate terrorism completely.
He added during his speech in the 151st session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers, held in the Arab League, that there is a necessity to develop the Arab mechanism to combat terrorism.
Regarding the Libyan situation, Shoukry underlined the importance of conducting presidential and parliamentary elections, along with unifying the country’s army to counter armed and terrorist groups.
“Were the wasted blood and resources not enough to prove that there is no military solution to the crises in Yemen?” Shoukry wondered, affirming that there is no other alternative than going to the negotiation table.
