Field Marshal Haftar & Salamé discuss the Abu Dhabi agreement

BENGHAZI – General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, discussed the latest developments in Libya in a telephone call with Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salamé.

A source told The Address that Field Marshal Haftar and Salamé discussed the the Abu Dhabi agreement and efforts to achieve a political consensus that leads to elections in Libya, thus putting an end to the transitional period.

Field Marshal Haftar affirmed that LNA forces are ready to fulfill its duties and secure the upcoming elections.

At the end of the telephone call, Field Marshal Haftar invited Salamé to visit him at the headquarters of LNA’s General Command next Wednesday.
