TRIPOLI – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) condemned on Tuesday harassment against bank staff and female clients in Siyahiya neighborhood in Tripoli.
UNSMIL stated via Twitter that it is “working to support political and police authorities to end this criminal behavior.”
Militias in Tripoli often harass and assault people whom are waiting in lines at the city’s banks. The Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) rarely condemned these acts.
