RABAT – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met on Wednesday with Speaker of the Moroccan Parliament, Habib El Malki, in Rabat.
According to a statement by Libya’s House of Representatives, Saleh praised the efforts of Morocco in supporting the Libyan people during the crisis in the country. He also stressed “the depth of historic bilateral relations and the importance of communication between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples through Moroccan and Libyan parliamentarians.”
Saleh welcomed the decision of King Mohammed VI of Morocco to support lifting the arms embargo imposed against the Libyan National Army (LNA)
For his part, El Malki “expressed his happiness with this visit, stressing his keenness to the stability of Libya and that Morocco will spare no effort in supporting the Libyan people to achieve their security and stability.”
Saleh arrived in Morocco last Monday to attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s 14th session of the Conference of Parliaments.
