LNA spokesman refutes authenticity of a document about potential entry to Tripoli

BENGHAZI – Spokesman of the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), General Brigadier Ahmed al-Mesmari, refuted in a statement on Tuesday reports that LNA forces are heading towards Tripoli.

Al-Mesmari particularity referred to a document that was circulated around social media a few days ago, which claimed that LNA set a one-week deadline for militias in Sirte to surrender as a pretext for entering the capital.

The LNA spokesman confirmed that the document is fake and unauthentic.

It is noteworthy that many fake statements and unauthentic documents, which falsely describe LNA’s orders and movements, have been circulating on different social media websites.
