LNA allows flights at a number of oilfields to resume

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – The Petroleum Facilities Guard Service announced on Monday that the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) has agreed to allow flights at a number of oilfields to be resumed.

The announcement came in a letter addressed to chairman of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanalla, from the commander of the Petroleum Facilities Guard in the middle and eastern regions, Major General Naji Al-Maghrabi.

In his letter, Al-Maghrabi affirmed that “the General Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, gave the order to resume flights at the oilfields of El-Sharara, El-Feel, Wafa, Hamada, and the port of Sidra.”

Earlier in February, LNA’s Aire Force declared the southern region’s airspace a no-fly zone as part of LNA’s military operation to secure the region.
