The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TRIPOLI – Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salamé, held a meeting on Thursday with the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, in Tripoli.
According to a statement by UNSMIL, Salamé and Baker discussed preparations for the National Conference, which is due in April.
Baker expressed his government’s full support for the National Conference which he said “will be a critical opportunity for Libyans to decide the best course towards achieving the stable and prosperous country that all Libyans deserve.”
Salamé announced on Wednesday that the National Conference will be held between 14 and 16 April in the city of Ghadames.
