The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TRIPOLI – Libya is producing 1.2 million barrels a day (bpd) of crude, Finance Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Faraj Boumtari, said on Wednesday.
“We expect a further increase in the coming days,” he told reporters when presenting the 2019 budget. He gave no details.
Libya this month reopened the 315,000 bpd El Sharara oilfield which was shut down in December after state guards and tribesmen seized it. Its output was 270,000 bpd as of Tuesday, a field engineer said.
