TRIPOLI – Italy and the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) signed an agreement on Sunday to deliver ambulances to hospitals in different Libyan cities.
The ambulances will be delivered to hospitals in Garabulli, Khoms, Sabha, Zawiya, Ubari, Kufra and Tripoli. The agreement comes as part of Italy’s Solidarity Bridge program which aims to support Libyan municipalities most affected by illegal migration and human trafficking.
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Local Government of GNA, Milad Taher, and Italy’s ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, and other officials on both sides.
