El-Sisi calls on international community to stand against arms smuggling in Libya

TUNIS – Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, called on the international community to international community to stand firm against foreign powers, which he did not name, that are working to smuggle weapons into Libya.

Speaking during the opening session of the 30th Arab League summit in Tunis, el-Sisi said that “elements of political settlement in Libya exist, but they require political will to implement them.”

Arab leaders meeting in Tunisia on Sunday hope to project unified position regarding the issues facing the region.
