Interim Gov. Foreign Minister meets with Palestinian Ambassador

TUNIS – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan Interim Government, Abdel Hadi al-Hweij, met with the Palestinian Ambassador, Ahmad al-Jarrar, before leaving Tunis on Monday.

al-Hweij discussed with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.

He stressed that the Interim Government, despite its preoccupation with internal issues, but the Palestinian issue is a key issue occupies Libya.

Al-Huwaij held a number of separate meetings on the sidelines of the 30th Arab Summit, during which he discussed the political process in Libya and means of enhancing joint cooperation.

He met with the envoy of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, in addition to a number of foreign ministers and ambassadors of a number of countries.
