Libya’s Parliament holds a session to discuss the Libyan National Conference

TOBRUK – Libya’s House of Representatives held a session on Tuesday to discuss the Libyan National Conference which is scheduled to take place in two weeks.

According to a statement by the House, the session discussed the participation of Libyan lawmakers at the UN-sponsored conference, without providing any details.

This came after House Speaker Aguila Saleh said that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) may invite certain House members to attend the conference. However, Saleh said the House will not meet these invitations, but will rather form a committee to represent it at the conference.

UN envoy, Ghassan Salamé announced late March that the Libyan National Conference will be held between 14 and 16 April in the city of Ghadames.
