TRIPOLI – Italy’s ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, and his accompanying delegation met on Tuesday with Interior Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha, in Tripoli.
According to a statement by GNA’s Interior Ministry, Grimaldi and Bashagha discussed “continuous cooperation between the two countries in several fields” particularly that of security.
Interlocutors discussed “support and training of Libyan police cadres; in addition to a number of security issues of mutual interest between the two countries.”
