The Address | Benghazi – Libya

General Ahmad al-Mesmari, Libyan National Army spokesperson, announced that the units of the Libyan national army arrived in the city of Gharyan, 80 km south of Tripoli.

“Vanguard of LNA troops had reached the city of Gharyan, and locals come out to receive them,” al-Mesmari said in a brief statement on his official Facebook page.

The statement came hours after the LNA said it was sending troops westward from its stronghold in the east to fight terrorism and organized crime militias.
