The Address | Benghazi – Libya

LIBYA – Saeed Emgayeb, member of the House of Representatives, said that the General Command of the Libyan National Army aims to move towards Tripoli to end the control of militia on the city before the National Conference that will be held in Ghadames April 15th.

Emgayeb said yesterday that he expects that the entry of LNA units into Tripoli will come after a short period of siege that will be implemented on stages.

It is noteworthy that the LNA General Command gave on Wednesday orders to a number of its units to advance to the western region.

Earlier today, Major General Abdul Salam al-Hassi, the commander of the LNA Western Region Operations Room, said: “The Libyan National Army peacefully takes control over Gharyan city amid great welcome from locals.”

The mountain city is 80km south of Tripoli.
