TRIPOLI – The governor of the Tripoli-based Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq al-Kabeer, left Tripoli this evening on a Libyan Wings flight to Tunisia.
According to leaked photos, al-Kabeer arrived at Mitiga Airport under intensive security from the Nawasi Islamist Battalion and parked under the plane before boarding the first-class.
In a similar context, local media sources and eyewitnesses have reported the departure of the Presidential Council member Ahmed Hamza, and Fathi al-Majbri.
The reports indicated that al-Majbri left Tripoli in the morning while Hamza left with his wife on the African Airways to Tunis at 7 pm. Earlier this morning, the spokesperson for the President of the Presidency Council, Mohamed El Sallak left to Tunisia as well.
The Libyan Address Journal tried to contact PC member Fathi Al-Mujabri by phone to verify the news, but he could not be reached.
