LNA calls on people of Tripoli and its environs to avoid sites of clashes

BENGHAZI – The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) on Friday called on the people of Tripoli and the surrounding areas to keep away as far as possible from any sites of clashes for the sake of their safety.

LNA stressed that the progress towards the capital began effectively in an organized military.

The General Commander of LNA, Field Marshal Khalifa Hafter, in a recorded speech, announced the beginning of the process of liberating Tripoli.

LNA Commander addressed the military units involved in the liberation of Tripoli, stressing that the aim of the military operation to enter the city is to free its people from the grip of armed militias and end the security chaos in the city.

He added that the safety, security, and property of the citizens, our foreign guests of their different nationalities, the institutions and facilities of the Capital are all your responsibilities, addressing LNA soldiers.

Field Marshal Haftar stressed in his speech to LNA units not to raise arms except in the face of those start confrontation and fighting.
